Twelve WPS schools have been named Challenge Award winners by the Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force.

First Student recently brought their Safety Dog Tour to Minneha Magnet Elementary School where students got to learn school bus safety through fun, hands-on activities.

Wichita Public Schools administration recommended a bond issue proposal to the Board of Education on Monday, May 4, 2026. The bond proposal focuses on long-term investments and improvements including rebuilding, remodeling and renovating facilities.
